I also caught all that stuff about Tower references, a newer style of writing (even like his short stories), etc. but only in the context of the plot. With this book I would read about as far as a plot line would go and then just barely remember the context to his other works before immersing immediately in what I thought was a great plot. So, this thread is for--Different Stuff than whether people thought it was good or they didn't like it; assuming you love it, let's hear what you love about it!

What I loved about this book, is the the Buick itself. I wanted to find out more and more about it as I read. I wanted to know to the people it took, although we get the general idea. I liked the back-story of Curtis and his 'relationship' with the car. It's one of those books you just don't want to end.
