Default Stephen King on Alan Wake

    Hi everyone,

I just finished this videogame on Xbox 360, called "Alan Wake".
It starts with a quote of Stephen King and the whole game is like a gigantic hommage for him. Quite interesting. A few flaws & weaknesses, as usual.

But also a real adventure about writing and how it affects the author itself.
The power of dreams - or nightmares, as it is...

    Anyone here has played it?
I wonder if Stephen has seen it-or played it, why not?

They had asked for Steve's permission to use the quote and then sent a couple of copies as a thank you which I forwarded on. Steve doesn't have an Xbox, though, so as far as I know he hasn't tried it out.

This game has come highly recommended by several friends of mine. Looks like I have something besides my books to nerd out to this weekend. : )

It looks like a cool game that I am going to have to find time to play at some point.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Not perfect-but what is?- but nice to play.
When you've played it, tell me what you think!

Loved the game. Was happy from the beginning when the first thing said was "Stephen King..."

But i found some slight similarities with SK's Duma Key. *spoilers?* An artist on an Island...making things happen with his art...evil witch like dark creature...this dark woman possess people to stop the artist...a loved one is taken away.

found it interesting, but it is different enough to not be a copy or anything...both are great. Highly recommended.

Marsha, tell Steve to quit trying to put it in the CD player....GEESH, next he'll leave his specs in the microwave and Tabitha will wake up with a faux-hawk...
