An excellent birthday gift?

My birthday was earlier this month, and to my surprise, I was presented with an excellent gift - a hardcover copy of Dolores Claiborne, my favorite novel, autographed by King. I have no idea how much my friend spent for this online, but I was certainly grateful. Unfortunately, my excitement was short lived. Just when I had this treasure in my possession, it got accidentally scooped up with assorted books in the house and donated to the local thrift shop. When I realized it had happened, I immediately went to try and find my book there, but some lucky browser already got it.
