The Nightmares & Dreamscapes audiobook was repackaged by Simon&Schuster Audiobooks into smaller sets but is still available. They're listed on the page for Audiobooks.

Well, I'm listening to the Frank Muller, Gunslinger and I see what everyone is talking about. This guy was amazing. I am thoroughly enjoying this.

I agree. I read the books as they came out, but I recently bought all the audio books in digital download and I am on the the last third of book 7 now (the events just played out on Turtleback Lane). I became hooked on audio books as an over the road rtuck driver and I still enjoy them.

Hey Paladin, Where did you buy your digital books? I want to get them all from the same place. I'd love to have the actual CD's but they seem to be scattered all over the place.

You should check out Audible.com - that's where I got mine. I think you can also buy them through itunes.

Audible.com is the best deal. You get one book a month for your basic membership. I have found that I go through (while commuting to work) one book or so a month. This means in seven months you will have all the books and have listened to them (most likely).

I prefer the sound of Rolands voice to be the one in my head.

I have the original Gunslinger cassettes...but have never listened to the first tape because when you play it, it sounds like an album being played backwards...REALLY creepy! I probably should have returned them to the store and exchanged them for a set that plays right, but I never did. I've also got the Wastelands and The Drawing of the Three, which I've listened to many times. I'd love to get the whole series someday...love reading the books, and love listening to them...can't get enough of Roland and his world!

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully someone out there can help me. When I was a kid I had The Wastelands audio book on cassette that was actually read by Stephen King, and I literally wore it out listening to it, one of the tapes actually broke. A while back I decided to go back and get all 7 (now 8 with Wind Through the Keyhole) audio books, and I wanted to get all the ones that King actually read himself. I found The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, and The Wastelands all on cassette (as far as I know the King read versions all went out of print, and were never reissued on CD). My question is, did Stephen King read any of the other 4 books himself, on cassette or cd? I just want to make sure before I get the Muller or Guidall ones. I know he read Wind Through the Keyhole, but that's last on my list. I'm going in order. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

No, he didn't do the others in the series.
