Default Are you afraid of dying?

So, people, tell me: are you afraid of death/dying?

I was thinking about this matter and I found out I'm not... not that I'd like to go anytime soon, but I'm not afraid.
What's the worst kind of death? The one you pray won't be yours? And why are you afraid?

    Nope, not at all.
I died already once, clinically for a few minutes that is, and even though I don`t remember anything, no big tunnel, no great, bright light or anything similar to that, I do remember I was not afraid.
    Not then, not now.

I wouldn`t mind though hanging around for a while longer so I can watch my kid grow up and continue to take care of her `till the day God calls my name one final time, for she is the reason of my whole existence.

Actually, I'm more afraid of living such and ungodly long time that I can no longer take care of myself and become a burden on those close to me.

"All say, 'How hard it is that we have to die' -- a strange complaint to come from the mouths of people who have had to live."

Mark Twain said that (among other things).

No, I'm not afraid since I know where I am going.......just in no hurry to get there.

I am not afraid of dying. I hope that before my time comes I will have made the people in my life a little happier for having known me. For me the worst kind of death would be dying alone or dying without ever knowing true love.

Nope....Unfortunately I have had a very close brush with death...I was choked....completely out for some time....when I started to come to I was irritated.....I did not want to come back because I was in such a peaceful place.....I am glad I did get to continue my journey on this level....but to me death is not scary....In the long walk there is a discussion regarding death ....and one phrase sticks out " The real long walk may have just begun" after death.....I beleive this on some level........I think there is something after.....but I look at death with curiousity rather than fear....who knows what is on the other side of the curtain?

Not afraid of death at all. I've been close so many times with the lousy health and luck I have. I'm not ready to go yet. I have a lot of stuff to do. When I'm done, I want to meet Death with my arms open and a smile on my face.

I have a plaque on my wall. It's the hunter god Cernunnos carrying a young deer. It says:

"Enter the great circle of the unknown without fear."

I guess it has sort of become my credo.

I want to live a good long life; don't want a miss a thing. Would love to have a grandson to walk me down the aisle at his sister's wedding LOL.
Other than not wanting to die prematurely, I would not want to die slowly and painfully. Don't really fear death itself, just don't want it now!
