Reading the Steigg Larsson books now and, while they are excellent, I feel compelled to spend my time re-reading SK's books instead.

Don't worry Stacey.. you'll get to appreciate others again in time.![]()
I had a serious King episode, reading nothing but his books, but I'm clean for two years now. Aside of Under The Dome and Just after Sunset, I've managed to read books of other people. There are some gems among them!
Welcome anyway and have yourself a ball!
I won't say he's the only author, he's just the only one who gets my money automatically regardless of title/cover/synopsis.
Hi stacey,
i am in the same position as you.. i find it hard to commit to any other authors in a serious way haha.. i have tried but to no avail.. i have just read blockade billy/morality... and im getting into liseys story since yesterday... maybe someday i can read someone else.. but hey.. whats the hurry![]()
Nat,
Congrats on being clean & sober...nothing like too much King "eye huffing" to really throw you under a bus and latch a cymbal playing monkey onto your back...![]()
I started reading SK in grade eleven, and the school librarian used to say, "Why don't you read someone else!" and I'd be all like, "Naaaaaah! I like Stephen King" Ha! Faithful for 14 years!
I'm the same way, I go through stages where I will read some other authors, Anne Rice being one, Christopher Moore, and a few others, but I always run back to Stephen King. I'm currently in my SK mode, having read Under The Dome, Carrie (re-read) and now starting a re-read of 'Salem's Lot. Welcome to the board!
There are other authors' books that I read a lot of before I read any SK books, that I'd go back and read again. Tolkien's got some books I really liked along with Michael Chricton, of whom I'm a big fan.
Right now though, I'm sticking with Stephen King for the most part.
