Have heard deer blowing in my back yard but never pigs.
Have heard deer blowing in my back yard but never pigs.
Thank goodness!! Not a needful thing.
Where do you live?
pigs are in fact feral here. they feed at night, mostly on fallen avocados, guava and other tropical fruits. some consider them a menace, some consider them tasty & hunt them. usually the meat is smoked/cured. we too have feral cats, they thrive on the rodent population but it's still kind of sad when they mew around your fancy outdoor restaurant table at night. however they never get the chance to rock out at the club casino, poor things! hi to bunchie - live in the jungle, work in the desert - how 'bout you?
My sister and niece used to live in Flagstaff. They both also went to NAU - Northern Arizona University. I've been to Flagstaff too, several times in my life. The whole place is surrounded by woods but they're pine tree woods. If you're not near the college or the highway, it's absolutely still. At night you can look up and see the moon and stars through those pine trees. If it's snowed, you will undoubtedly see animal and people tracks here and there. When I see that, I wonder what they saw or what they were thinking when they were standing/walking in the same spot. Now bear tracks, that's a different story. Look around but not too much, if ya know what I mean, and walk out.
I've never checked to see if Flagstaff has been Google mapped yet but I bet it has. If it has, maybe check it out, anyone who's interested. If Google did it up right, you should be able to see what I mean about it having a King-like feel. You're right on the money, kohalakirk.
small empire isn't it - seein' ya very well ShootersCorn! my sister also went to nau. used to drive there from sf for thanksgiving weekend, maybe 5 or 6 times. almost got lost while exploring the environs, near the cinder cone & outside sedona. there are many mrs. todd type shortcuts that seem plausible enough in broad daylight...except for that strange stillness. yet my memories of night there seem more overtly king-ish. walk out indeed, but i'd advise caution if you're in a post t-day stupor, full darkness has fallen & you can't discern the wind's howl from the wolves'. do not look look too much at the tracks between the ponderosa rows!!!
I'm from Siberia, I want to get a message from someone realties!![]()
