    Default I love this book!

I can honestly say I love this book almost as much as I love The Stand . The characters drew me in and didn't let me go. I put off reading this book for quite a while because I was afraid of the length of it and didn't think it could hold my interest, but wow did it ever! I couldn't put it down and when I was finished I was sad that there wasn't more. Even though I just finished it a month ago I am ready for a re-read!

I was not disappointed by the ending at all. The idea of a dome being placed over a town by another being was quite interested. Every time my kids trap an ant hill under a tupperware dish it gives me shivers haha!

I have recommended this book to everyone I know whether they are a King fan or not.

I loved it too, very much a Lord of the Flies feel to it. Being from a small town, I appreciated SK's keen creation of characters who would be found in such a place.

I loved this book too, and it re-ignited a passion for SK's work that has been dormant since my teens.
The ending was a rough ride, and I'd have loved another 20-30 pages of wrap-up (so many questions!!) but I took it for what it was. Read it twice in quick succession, then listened to bits and pieces as my partner devoured it on audiobook - lots of fun hearing the characters brought to life! I felt like I lived in Chester's Mill for a couple of weeks there, it was pretty gripping.
Started off with a library copy, and was motivated to go out, spend $39.99 on a copy (New Zealand book prices are extortionate!) and send it off round all my friends so they could appreciate the genius.

I too read this & got into King. I had read the stand as a kid, then 3 more times as an adult, but never tried anything else of his until this. Now I've read this one twice & have read 8 other of his books (inc. It, Bag, Duma, Tommy...)
    I'm obsessed.

Under the Done the second best book I've ever read bested only by Stu Redman and company.

It's my third favorite King novel after the Dark Tower books (I'll count them as one) and The Stand. I do think Big Jim was one of the best villians ever! Possibly because he seems like pretty much a normal person you could actually know in a small town (like the one I'm from) so I can imagine knowing and hating him in real life!

This was a very good book, King you still have it! The entire time I was reading this book, I kept thinking this is as good as if not better than The Stand. I enjoyed the storylines, characters, settings, and dialogue. This was a Stephen King where you actually felt like you were a part of the story, I feared what would happen to the people as Rennie and his police force began to grow and become a bigger force. I was happy when the few citizens decided to stand up and find a way to fight against Big Jim. I really feel like this could happen to a small town if they were all of a sudden cut off from the world. The ending was a little weak IMO however, it seemed like it built it up to be so big and then it ended rather fast and less climactic than I thought it would be. That's why I think this book will fall just short of The Stand, but it's a close second IMO. I have already passed this book along to my Dad, he had to read it after I was talking about it. lol

Today when we were going to pick up our kids from my in-laws my husband and I had to drive through a small town that was very unfamiliar to us. For some reason I started thinking about what we would do if a dome came down and we were trapped there. Gave me the shivers!

WOO HOO!! I just finished reading Under The Dome. That was an AWESOME read.
The Chapter "Halloween Comes Early" that had me on the edge of my seat. That was so intense. The Best Chapter in the book though.
Great from the beginning to end. Loved it!!!
