I've just re read this after a fair few years (I was prompted to do so by buying a copy for a non-horror reading friend), and I'm knocked out once again by how superb it is. Steve just knows, doesn't he, how to penetrate our defences. In the end, that's what great storytelling is all about. It doesn't matter if he's out to scare you, or make you laugh, or whatever. He just knows how to stab at your heart.

It's a great read no doubt...he is an unparalleled master of his craft(and this was a kid's book!)...

Some of my favourite books are so called kid's books-I guess fiction that transcends any traditional barrier-age, class, race, sex-is fiction that's working. Sounds like Mr King to me Strange too methinks, that a book written for one special person should open my eyes (more) to the huge variety and scope of SK's abilities as a writer. I think I just promoted myself to superduper fan!

I reread the eyes of the Dragon, it isn't a movie, but it is a good novel so it should be filmed. In my point of view if it will happen, it will be the best movie of Stephen King.
