what are your opinion about this because as a Stephen king fan i have noticed that this book seems to be forgotten a lot more than his other books does anyone agree with this?

Even after a diverse catalog of work, King is still lumped in with "horror" authors by many...and since the "Green Mile" really doesn't fit their perceptions, it goes wanting...I feel it's one of his better efforts over the years-no matter what the genre...
I was fortunate to be able to read The Green Mile in installments. What a joy to drive home from work, filled with anticipation of purchasing the next installment. Never really felt that the book was underrated. Found it to be one of King's best books.
well maybe underrated was the wrong word what i meant was that when i have conversations with people about kings works this book is not bought up by people as much as other novels such as the stand or it or desperation which is a pretty vague novel as well thoughts on this...
Desperation IMO is not one of his better efforts-but still worth a read fer certain sure...uh-huh, yep...
Constant readers are very familiar with all the types of SK books, however, many who read his books have read only the horror types. There are people out there who do not realize Sai King wrote the Green Mile/ same as with Shawshank Redemption. In their minds, those aren't SK books.
Same often occurs with Bag of Bones, and Lisey's Story. So that might be one explanation.
The Green Mile, The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon, and the very first, Carrie.
The Bachman Books are a treasure. I love all of them but I guess my favorite is The Stand. Eye of the Dragon was a joint effort and it shows. Dance Macabre is my "go to" book to remember what the truth is.
The Green Mile is sad, horrific, funny and makes perfect sense. It is a great book. I was sad to see that some of the best parts were left out of the movie.
