    Cool Perfect happy ending!!!

I enjoyed the ending where Trisha was in the hospital, and she pointed to the sky. Even though I enjoyed that part, my favorite part of the book was when, right in the beginning, she got lost. It built up the anticipation for what would go on next.
Did you guys enjoy this book? If so, tell me your favorite part. If not, tell me the reason why you didn't like it.

Liked it-much lighter fare than normal for Uncle Stevie, and my fave part was the "spirit beast" if you will toward the end...

I enjoyed it too.The best bit from an 'oh my god what next' point of view is where Trisha gets REALLY lost ,where he said if it had been the weekend she would have heard powerboats and people but it was midweek and "instead of finding the pond, she turned toward the Canadian border and began walking deeper into the woods. Some four hundred miles ahead was Montreal.Between it and her,not much." I love the way he puts his characters through it!

I think the book is exceptionally well-written, especially as she is initially getting lost. King describes the experience perfectly. It's scary to read.

I think I really was surprised at the ending. I loved the getting lost. As I can get lost so easily.

I loved this book. I literally just finished it less than 5 minutes ago. I had put off reading it for a while because I heard bad things about it here on the board, but I thought it was a great little story. I found it quite scary at times too.

I really enjoyed this book! I kept reading because I never peeked at the spoilers here on the board so I wasn't sure if she gets rescued or not & I really had to find out what happens in the end. The worst part was when she was sick to her stomach, the vomiting & diarrhea, ohhhh, that made me feel awful in my stomach! Towards the end, I began to wonder if she really was going to make it or not, because not every King book has a happy ending. I thought, wouldn't that be horrible if she goes through all this hell, only to find out in the epilogue some hunter's dog ends up finding her Walkman clutched in her skeletal hand?? I loved the ending, & I cried! (Lately, I've been crying alot at King endings....because of what happens & because the book's over!)

Did Stephen ever talk to someone who actually got lost? I know I got lost once, picking blueberries. came out on the road and there's some tracks tehre, tright? the tracks are going one way...i figure to go the other, even though my gut tells me to go in the directions of the tracks.

it was an ozzy moment. across the way, a field. off to the far left, the sun setting. the near left, a farmhouse. i was waiting for the munchkibs to start singing....

in the end, it all work edoout. the farmer brought me back. yeah.

seems like he must have talked w/someone...or maybe he knew someone...or hell, maybe he just figured it out on his own?

Loved it! Makes a change to have a happy ending in a King book! I can't pinpoint a specific thing I liked about it although if I had to it would probably be the Wasp Man. I loved the intense all the way through the book and my partner hated me for keeping her up at night as I didn't want to put the book down and she can't sleep with the light on!
