..can o' worms as in: 'wouldn't' (being the tense that it is) would mean not written yet, thus, NOT one of the two or three books already mentioned being done/neardone/working on is not that book, thus, the shining sequel (may have) won that particular debate and is one of the next book kinda can o' worms thingees ?

Meaning that The Wind through the Keyhole is a title Steve used when asking whether fans would want him to write a sequel to The Shining (Dr. Sleep) or a Dark Tower book (The Wind through the Keyhole). The OP thought the latter title referred to the third book in the Jack Sawyer trilogy to be written with Peter Straub and I was replying (not quite as clearly as I'd thought ) that it was not.

Wouldn't it be just a lovely treat if THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE turned out to be the third Jack Sawyer book as well as the next Dark Tower? oh yeah, very lovely indeed. in fact, let's start a rumor about it right here and now.

    Hi,

    Yes, wouldn't it just?

And Black House was getting more and more convergent with the DT mythos.

Not going to happen for the reasons I've already given. The third installment will be co-written by Steve and Peter Straub. The Wind through the Keyhole is Steve's idea only and not intended for that project.

I have always pictured Jack Sawyer and Jake as the same person.
