It looks like you might have to find it on the secondary market. I found one listed on Amazon for $1.99--the shipping is $3.99, though. Abe's Books had several for $1 and it appears they have free shipping and no minimum purchase but there may be some fine print. I'm sure there are other places as well. Good luck!

It's available in a ton of places like the ones Ms. Mod mentioned, Ebay, discount stores, Walden Books, Borders-hell I've even seen it a Dollar General and Big Lots...keep your eyes peeled and "the kid" will appear...

If by chance you're in Pittsburgh, I saw a copy at Eide's Entertainment downtown just this past Friday.

I'd like to update the information regarding the availability of The Colorado Kid since the last post is from June 2010 and things have changed since then.
The physical book is out of print - plain and simple - and Hard Case Crime (the publisher) shows no sign of printing more.
If you just want to read the story, your best bet is to simply buy the Ebook. It's still legally and even if you don't have an Ereader, one can be downloaded for free to your computer, be it Barnes & Noble's Nook or Amazon's Kindle.
You can also legally download the audiobook if you prefer it that way.
Now, let's say you're hell-bent on having the physical book (like me). Forget Amazon and Barnes & Noble, it's no longer in stock and can only be had from their used book sellers who offer the Hard Case Crime edition at a very high price. As of this writing from 40 to 100 dollars!
You're left with Ebay and others of their ilk. There also, the prices vary, but at least you'll have a better chance of getting it for a reasonable price. There are also, hardcover editions of The Kid, but these will set you back 70 bucks or more.
I myself, was able to win a copy on Ebay for 17 dollars. The edition (as the seller stated) had a small crease in the spine and some slight bent in the interior pages. This was unimportant to me as long as the cover didn't have any tears or stains, so I think I got it for a reasonable price.
    Good luck finding The Kid!
