I'm not sure I understand the question.
Are you asking if it's possible that Mr. King only wrote Needful Things, because perhaps he just wanted/needed another influx of cash?
I kinda doubt his well has run dry, but if that were in fact a reason (if that's what your asking), then I certainly hope he needs & wants more & more, and wants/needs it damn quick, 'cause I loved Needful Things, and encourage him to get his potentially needy greedy azzz busy writing more....I need it.
