    Thumbs up Shutter Island

It`s been a long, long time since I`ve seen a Hollywood movie that was this good.
    Spectacular, really.

I read the book two years ago, watched the movie yesterday afternoon and read the book again in one sitting.
And even though the book ( written by Dennis Lehane, btw ) is superb, this is one of the rare times when a movie is better than the book.
Old master Martin Scorsese did it again, Leo Di Caprio was brilliant, Mark Ruffalo really good and so was Ben Kingsley.

It`s an absolute keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat-thriller, and if I hadn`t read the book beforehand, there is now way to guess what the heck is actually going on there.

A masterpiece, IMO, an instant classic that will haunt you for a long time after you finish watching it.

I thought Shutter Island was really good when I saw it at my local movie theater earlier this year. It really screwed with my head.

It is a throw back to a more classic Hollywood thriller with lots of twists and turns! Loved every minute of it. It doesn't hurt that Leo just keeps getting better and better!

I enjoyed it, but I have to say it was cliche at times. Overall though, very good and I still don't know what the truth was.

Wait.... did I actually see that movie?

Or did I imagine all of it?

I just watched the movie this weekend and I enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't what I was looking to rent but I am glad that I did.

We watched Shutter Island this weekend too. I thought it was very good! The ending line was great "it's better to die a good man than a monster" ( or close to that

I keep looking at my local store for "Shutter Mouthup" but it's perpetually rented.

I enjoyed this movie very much, too. And the music that was played over the end credits - simply beautiful.

Martin Scorsese is one of the best ever. The Departed was a masterpiece. Shutter Island didn't do it for me. Seemed a bit long on atmosphere and short on thrill.
