Ok.
Fine, but needs more suspense.

Where is the option in the poll for "absolutely dreadful?" No. It did not live up to the short story. The film was absolute tripe. The screenplay missed the entire point of the short story and had none of its soul. I could do a blow by blow review of the thing but I don't really feel the desire to relieve painful time I spent watching it.
Personally, I didn't read the book. However, I actually liked Dolan's Cadillac. I thought it was a decent movie and I am somewhat biased because I love Christian Slater (goes back to the eighties).
I thought the film did as well as or better than the Short Story I read in the Nightmares and Dreamscapes Compilation back in 1996.
I especially liked the closing shot of the movie, which was an areal view of the protagonist as he placed the last "brick" over Dolan's tomb and he had and expression of victory/regret/torment at the same moment.
That is a pretty good ending to the "Cask of Amontillado" story by Edgar Allan Poe that this short story clearly takes it's inspiration from.
I would bury you both in the truck from that movie just for saying such things.
Well, Robert, I guess you could try. I doubt that anyone has the salt to bury me. It's been proven, time and time again. I one badass mother foker, and that's the hard truth.
I enjoyed the film as I've stopped comparing the books to films otherwise I would never enjoy the films. The films always change things, leave things out(usually to do with audiences they are trying to target etc) so I just enjoy them for what they are (unless its salems lot with a unforgivable blue vampire....some things can never be forgiven)
