You certainly can't say that SK was following a formula on this book. This remarkable book is one big curve ball. What looks on the surface to be a simple book certainly doesn't turn out that way. SK examines two families in crisis, examines the differences between city folk and country folk, examines the well-off vs the poor and merges those themes with a horrific tale. I wonder if this idea of SKs started as a short story and grew into a novel. Seems that Cujo would have made a dynamite 50 page short story just dealing with the Cujo part. Maybe SK wanted to do a story on two families in crisis and decided he needed something scary to tie it together and came up with Cujo. This is really two horror stories, real-life family horror merged with rabid dog horror. Excellent book.
My opinion, Cujo- one of the best novels of Mr.King. Yes, it's great book! Аnd I аlso аgree, thаt Cujo wаs good boy аt heаrt.
Been awhile since I read Cujo, I remember enjoying it quite a bit, of course when don't I enjoy an SK novel. I need to go back and read this one again.
