Crazy Heart

Wow! What a great movie. This movie made me realize that there is a deep end of the pool. Most movies are visual spectacles that say, 'LOOK AT ME!' like a small child doing tricks in the shallow end of the pool. I watched Crazy Heart and felt the bottom drop away. I felt like a voyeur the whole time and knew many of Bad Blakes feelings and situations personally. If you need nothing but the spectacle (and I do from time to time), then I wouldn't suggest this movie. But if you want a true look into the heart of alcoholics and every day life, this is the best I have seen in many many years.

Sorry to say, I didn`t like it all.
Corny, pathetic, lame.

But I believe that that is actually because I`m not into country, I don`t dig that scene and probaly don`t understand it, since a friend of mine is also absolutely delighted with the film and told me that country is supposed to be exactly that way - corny and pathetic.

Don`t know, didn`t do it for me but I`m glad you liked it.

No problem Srbo...I'm not a country fan either...too many women dyin with beloved dogs and rusty pickups for me...The movie just hit a note for me...Plus Jeff Bridges reminded me of Waylon Jennings, who is one of about three country singers I'll ever listen to.
