Black House/Talisman - Twin Peaks connections?

I have just finished Black House and have recently been watching Twin Peaks and it strikes me that there are some similarities between them.
As The Talisman was written first I wonder if David Lynch was influenced by it, certainly the Black Lodge/White Lodge seem similar to the two hotels in the book and the idea of twinners seems to run through the series as well.
Then I wonder if Twin Peaks had some influence on Black House? In the series murders are commited by someone who is 'posessed' by an evil spirt much like Mr Munchin/The Fisherman in the book. Also the interior of the Black House seems to have some similarites with the Black Lodge of the tv show. Also the police chief in the book is called Dale, a nod to Agent Dale Cooper perhaps?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find mention to it anywhere else and I thought it was very interesting.

hmmmmmm... I hadn't noticed any similarities but now that you mention it...

lol... I've thought a few times that David Lynch would be a great director for some SK films.

I also recently just finished reading Black House, but I haven't seen Twin Peaks since it was first on TV.

I remember liking Twin Peaks, but my memory is blank to the details of this show (no room on the hard drive, some things just get deleted to make room for new data) except for the name Laura Palmer (I remember she was dead, and I have been to the log where she was found, on Bainbridge Island in Washington) and Cherry Pie (also, I had a slice at the diner where they filmed, it wasn't too good, the pie!).

I will have to put it on my Netflix Que and re-watch it and look for the Talisman/Black House similarities you mentioned, then get back to you.
