The Dogan ***Spoilers***

I'm missing something here. The Dogan was a place Jake found outside the calla where he discovered Benny Slightman's father's treachery. So why is Susannah now going there when she goes inside her own mind? She never went to the real Dogan, yet when she's there it is exactly the same as when Jake went, complete with the skeleton in the corner. It is even mentioned that some of the monitors still show the calla when she is there. If the Dogan she goes to is just a construct of her mind, then why? I don't know how the Dogan went from being a physical place Jake went to being an imaginary place Susannah goes.

I think that their group shared Kef and when they talk they almost see, smell, hear, etc what the other person went through. It is how they can share long stores in a short amount of time (like Calahan's or Roland's in Wizard And Glass). Susannah needed some type of control so she visualized the Dogan as a means of control. Jonsey did a similar thing with his mind in Dream Catcher.

Susannah created her own Dogan because she needed a control room by which to control her body when she wasn't capable of "coming forward"... she subconsciously created this Dogan based on what Jake had told her about the one he visited on the outskirts of the Calla
