    Cool Shout Out!

Just started this book yesterday, and within a few chapters, was pleasantly surprised to find a shout out to my city Made me happy to think that Sai King actually knows where we are located on the map! Woohoo!

    Hi,

That's great, I hope you enjoy The Tommyknockers, very under-rated book IMO.

    But avoid the TV movie!

    Long days and pleasant nights

What city in Massachusetts is that? King mentions my city, Worcester, in Dreamcatcher, at the end when Mr. Gray is trying to poison the Quabbin Resevoir (I rolled down a giant grassy hill at Quabbin a bunch of times as a kid). That was cool. And the beginning of Cell is kinda surreal. I've walked down those same streets many times.

Little off topic, but in Capote's In Cold Blood, he also gives a very brief, and not very flattering description of Worcester. Not that I blame him. It's not a very nice city. And I'm more of a rural boy anyway.
