I'm 35 years old, and read just about everything he every wrote bar The Magic Cottage. I remember being totally addicted to The Rats, The Fog, etc when I was a school kid sitting my GCSE's. I see him as a bit of a role model, and I'm sure his writing influenced mine.

    Lucky you! Well, mainly.
Not The Rats or The Fog (nowt to do with the film(s) by the same name, btw). Well, obviously I'd recommend my personal favourite (see p1), as anyone would. Other than that...The Survivor, The Spear, The Jonah, or Haunted (best read before The Ghosts of Sleath).

I think he has a release out in the next 6 months or so called ASH. Don't know much about it ...possibly a sequel to an earlier work. He's slowed down a lot with age, and like Stephen has problems with his sight I believe.

I love the whole "Rats", "Lair" and "Domain" trilogy. They just get better and better in my opinion. The domain's post-apocalyptic setting is a perfect way to round the whole thing off!

As if the use of a nuclear weapon didn't give humanity enough to think about....the flesh eating rats return!

Sorry to bump a year old thread (not sure what the mods prefer, old or new post).

I have not read any of his work yet but I own The Rats and The Fog, I bought them because my sister said my Dad used to read his work, and that he is similar to King.
