Just read this one for the first time today. All i kept thinking was "wow, they sure picked the right actress for the movie" lol. I think there should be an alternate ending in the book where she keeps all the money, sells the house, and moves to Derry

...and somehow hooks up with Ralph from "Insomnia" through Match.com...anyhoo-the strength of Dolores's character certainly shines through-but ya gotta admit that "the high-steppin' bitch"Vera was goodish as well...still would like to have seen more of the psychotic dust bunnies(speaking of which-it's time to feed mine...wanders off humming "The Farmer In The Dell"...)

Yeah, the monologue took getting used to, but definitely a great read. I still gotta see the movie. lol.

it took me a long time to get into doloris claiborn, i struggle with first person narrative and this was to the max! When i finally got into it i had to laugh at how suprised i was when the 'real time' (in the police office) intrusion happened.... completely forgot where i was. absolute magic- happened to read gerald's game right after an all, that ​blew my mind i can tell you.

I'm only about 180 pages in and plan to finish it during my winter break, but so far it's great!
