And some of the creatures would have ripped up the aforementioned heartstrings, and used em for garters...it was spooky(not Classics IV "Spooky", but ya know)as well as sad...Oh shucks ma'am-forgot to welcome you to the board, pleased your here-well, not REALLY you, a cyberspace equivalent and such(at this point, Mr. GNT'S handlers track him down, and with deft touches from their electric whips-herd him back to his cell)
Stephen king does those kind of bad endings did you ever see Pet semitary ? and I totally agree with you though lol and Thomas Jayne is always such a bad actor in most of his movies The Mist was ok only because it was the works of Stephen King.
Just watched this for the first time last night and would have to say, it was entertaining enough throughout, although nothing special. The last five minutes, however, I found especially riveting and the climax was effectively startling and very satisfying. I doubt I would still be thinking about this at all if the ending hadn't been so radically different from the original story. I very rarely say this (in fact I am tempted to use the word "never"), but I think in this particular case I enjoyed the film more than the origianl story simply because of those last five minutes. The "Gotcha" ending can often be forced and convoluted, but I thought it worked very well here -- particularly for those who knew the story (and King's tendency to inject hope where it may not belong) and were expecting something else . . . although I also would have to agree with the above poster about Mr. Jayne's acting chops (or distinct lack thereof). He is what Leanord Pinth Garnell would have called "deliciously bad."
