What's Anne Wilkes's Background?

What happened in Anne Wilks' past to make her the way she is? Most serial killers aren't just that way from birth. You can usually trace it back to some childhood trauma. So, what happened to Anne Wilks? Does it say in the book? I mean, I don't think she was born a monster, my theory is that she was made that way.

My hypothesis is that she was sexually abused by a male member of her family, most likely her dad but possibly an uncle. What do you guys think?

I got the feeling through my reading and re-reading, that Annie had thrown a rod, stripped a gear, blew a gasket(or any other automotive metaphor)from birth. She appears to be a pure sociopath, with really bad taste in literature...
