    Underrated: Dreamcatcher

I am 20 pages from finishing this for a second time and Goddamn is it great. Duddits is written with such perfection and the four boys are kids I grew up with (minus the shining) It's a fresh look at the alines genera & was FUNNY. REALLY FUNNY.
Anytime a friend or coworker go off on a tangent I declare: BACON!
I'm the only one that gets it, but that's alright too.

    Underrated: Cell

I call it "mini the stand."

Overrated: The Dark Tower. I read the 1st book and still have no idea what it was about, and got 50 pages into the second one before I gave up because it felt like homework.

Underrated: For me it is a tossup between Gerald's Game and Rose Madder. Those are both among my favorite of his books, and it seems many fans don't care for them. I have always enjoyed his psychological thrillers more than his monster/slasher books (with the exception of It).

Overrated: I'd have to go with Insomnia on this one. Many people love it, especially it seems due to the connection to The Dark Tower series; but it is among my least favorite of his novels. It starts off slow (I had to pick it up 3 times before I got past page 50) then gets interesting in the middle, and then it just kinda spirals downward from there. I really struggled with this one. I have also had a hard time getting into Needful Things, but since I haven't finished it, I can't honestly include it.

Underrated- From A Buick 8, I think most of you need to do a re-read, it's a great story and very creepy

Overrated- I can't think of one that I find overrated.

Criminally underrated: Duma Key, Dreamcatcher (I never knew King was better than Carl Hiassen when it comes to pure comedy), Christine and Dark Half.

Overrated: Needful Things- I though I would faint because of boredom when all the town folks endlessy come in and go out of that shop.

Everything is Eventual is also overrated. It was a bore fest.

Overrated: The Shining. It was too slow for me, seemed to drag and only got exciting in the last quarter.
Underrated: Girl who loved tom gordon. Seems to get a bit of bad press but I really liked it. I felt for Trisha all the way through, she was very well written.
Underrated II: The Langoliers. I never hear anyone singing its praises, I couldn't put it down.
