    Default Scary dreams

I rarely have nightmares but last night I had a very scary dream that I was walking alone in a dark parking lot and I could hear a voice coming from a storm drainage grating underfoot. I didn't stick around to see who it was, but it was a man's deep gravely voice and he was singing to himself and obviously a madman. It was very disturbing. Waking up, the first thing I thought of was "It" and Pennywise.

This got me thinking: how many of us have had nightmares thanks to Steve's books? Have you ever had any scary dreams that were based on his fictional characters? Let's hear about your scary dreams!

A long time ago when I was younger I watched Salem's Lot and it spooked me. We had these floor to ceiling type of windows and I kept dreaming that the little boy ( from Salem's lot who was bitten) was trying to get into my window........Been a fan ever since.

Fushing my friend, I can't recall any scary dreams based on his works-but I still have a "rabid" aversion to St. Bernards...

    Hi,

Like you, I very rarely have nightmares (I put it down to confronting so much horror in my reading pattern while I'm awake).

The exception was after I'd read Little Sisters of Eluria.

    THAT was a doozy *shudders*!

    Long days and pleasant nights

I think I'm all scared out. I have (very rare) strange dreams but no nightmares. Probably because I want them...to juxtapose against my current waking existence.

In law school I used to eat a handfull of nuts before sleeping because of the old superstition that likely gave rise to You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato.

I never got any ghosts, and the monsters under my bed have abandoned me.

I always have strange dreams -- not so much nightmares, but just peculiar in their own right. Like the other night I had one where I was at my grandmother's old house and there was an indian in full get up (the headdress, deer skin, and all that) standing on the very tip of a branch on the top of an arched oak tree, shooting bald eagles out of the sky with a bow and arrow.

Other than that, I always have recurring dreams that involve snakes. Last night, I had one where I was at these old dirt hills where I used to play when I was a kid and there were hundreds of them coming out the burls of trees.

Speaking of which - I just started to read that story last night for the first time, but was overtired so I fell asleep after only 10 pages...
But man, was I EVER happy to read about Roland again, anything with his name in it just makes me feel....no, no words for it.

So yeah, let the bad dreams come after I finish the story, I would not mind one bit.

Gosh, I really need to brush up on "Bad Dream Immersion 101". What dreams I remember usually feature Elle McPherson in something naughty...

Had a dream a few weeks ago that many characters from the DT series were singing karaoke at the bar where I DJ. It was absolutely ridiculous. Anyone care to try and decipher that one? Do I need immediate help?
