Latest Talisman

I've been enjoying the Talisman issues so far, but the latest one had me wondering. There were pcitures on the cover and iside of the "winged men" Jack encounters in a vast field. As I recall, in the book he observes them from afar while muching an apple, and does not discern if they actaully have wings or if the wings are mechanized. here Jack gets much closer to the tower, and sees for sure that the wings are mechanical. This must be some sort of Terriorories 'sport" like skie-diving or skiing.

Also, Wolf looked far more human than I imagined him looking.

I haven't read The Talisman comics, but I think here, this is an example of our imagination exaggerating how he looks. After all, he passed for human America-side, so I think he must have been very humanlike in appearance. Granted, it seems he did actually look more humanlike* on that side anyway, but probably not that much more.

I'll admit, I found that hard to visualise though. In my minds-eye, I always saw him as rather beast-like regardless of where he was. A kind of hairy lug with John Lennon glasses.

*Interesting that it was implied that his wolf side was even darker America-side than in the territories....

I haven't read these comics yet but I want to, the only ones I've read are The Gunslinger Born.

Ive got it, had a quick look last night but how I have imagined Jack and the things ive read so far in the book are nothing like they have been done in the comic. I dont know how acurate to the book it is yet as I havent finished reading it so didnt look that far into the comic so I dont ruin anything.
