    Default Mother’s Day 2010

Sunday, May 9, 2010 is Mother’s day here in the States.
My momma passed away almost ten years ago. I still miss her. There are many mothers on this board and I want to take this time to tell you all that you are wonderful.

You are appreciated even when you embarrass the hell out of your kids! Lawd knows no one can do that better than a mother!

I remember once my mom showed up for a teacher, parent and student meeting with one of her breast hanging below her bra. You could see it so well through her blouse. It was like a big azz head hanging there! I think the teacher was more embarrassed than I was.

I don't think Mr. W. ever got over that! My momma had some big-uns!

    I love you momma . . .

    Smile Happy Mother's Day

A tribute and thank you to all Mother's- to those in the here and now, to those who have passed, to those are not a biological mother but give as a Mother would give, and to our MsMod, who in reality is our Mother and guide on the SKMB. May this be a special day for all.

Thanks for the kind words. I remember it taking me a while to figure it out on the really old Board when posters started referring to me as Motherator.

Happy mothers day to all moms, yours, mine and the mother of my kid, who says Hi to you all and is thanking for the kind words.

BTW, she has an account here, her screen name is Sleepers, but she hasn`t posted yet...says she is ashamed to talk to such a bunch of superinteligent people...

I`ll get her around to post some day, hopefully soon...

Any ideas for a Mother's Day gift for my wife? She is so hard to buy for! One of the few women I have ever met who doesn't like chocolate!

In Ireland they celebrate Mothers day in March. My mom has been gone 18 yrs. and not a day goes by that I don't wish we could have a good chat. If the mother in your life (of your children or your own) is not into flowers or chocolate a book token is always something I like. Sometimes it's just having the day off from all the cooking cleaning ,etc. An actual DAY OFF!!!!

Here's a big thank you to all Moms....

for all those nights of pacing the floor with a crying child...
for all those boo-boo's you've fixed...
for all those cold meals because you were the last one to get to eat....
for all those endless piles of dishes and laundry you washed....
for all those late nights wrapping gifts...
for all those things you went without so your children could have things..
for all that homework you helped them with...
for all those school plays, recitals, sports events, and scouts meetings you attended...
for all those times you had to clean up after a sick child in the middle of the night....
for all those hours of selfless love and devotion .....

THANKS for all you do every day.....
