Default I own a copy but have never gotten around

I recently picked up a copy, but it just seems so different to what im used to in king's works, "not that that's a bad thing"....but Im currently reading "Under The Dome" with breaks for "Just After Sunset" shorts, and acouple others on my list foe next, should I take time for this or wait till I have everything else out of the way? I still have "dreamcatcher" and "The Long walk " on my soon th read list.

I would go ahead and read it, 'cause it's short and not hard to get into, at least it wasn't for me. I thought it was a pretty good little story.

TGWLTG is a pleasant change of gears-read it and enjoy the genius of King morphing himself into the character of a young girl-plus there are some genuinely creepy places-both real and (maybe) imagined. There's a "pop-up" version of this book available too that appeals to all that is childish in me-which is pretty much 99.7%

It was the only book of uncle's that I didn't read when it first came out. Only got around to reading it this year.

I heartily recommend it, great, short, read. I was silly to wait so long.

I say read it. It is not that long and it is different from a lot of other King stories. I rescued my copy from the top of someones garbage and I am glad that I did. It was very touching. One other story that I would suggest if SKMB members haven't read it yet is The Last Rung on the Ladder. If you have siblings (that you love) you will probably relate.

okay looks like ill give it a try, and the last rung on the latter is a cool little gem, def worth the 20 min it takes to read.

The first time I read this book I was on a plane, on my way to Kuwait for bit of an extended deployment (F-15E crew chief). It's themes certainly spoke to me then, and I can say, having just finished the book for a second time about fifteen minutes ago, that they hold up well over time. Not to mention, if you are a Dark Tower fan, you will relate....because Roland and Trish....I bet they could relate.....

I have put off reading it for a LONG time. I just started it and Im about 70 pages in. Not bad so far. I was very curious going into this one because if you search the forum, I think this is for the most part everyones least favorite of his books. Everytime I look on "Least favorite" threads its always TGWLTG and Buick 8, which is another one that I have not read yet mainly due to everyones critism of it. but I will tackle it soon to see for myself
