Derry City, Ireland

My name is Rosie and I work for Derry City Council in Northern Ireland. Derry is currently in the running to become the first ever UK City of Culture. We are currently trying to get as many high profile celebrity endorsements as possible. As I’m sure you know Stephen King often uses ‘Derry’ as a place name in his work, and I’m guessing this is named after the original Derry City, here in Northern Ireland.
We were wondering if Mr King would be a all interested in backing the bid, even one or two paragraphs saying he wished the city all the best would be really brilliant.
I would appreciate any help you could give the city here, or if you think there is someone else I should be contacting then please let me know.

It actually has more to do with the town of Derry, New Hampshire, but I'll pass it by him. He has a rough schedule this week, though, so it's not likely to get a response in the immediate future and I can't promise there will be one even after this week. Best of luck with your celebration!
