Default Something special about this book . . .

    Hi!

So I doubt anyone remembers, but I wasn't a fan of this book when I first read it (many times bored me to sleep -- literally), but since then (read it last year), it's been growing on me. I haven't read it again, but it's one of those Stephen King books that I always think about, and all the memories of it are good. I think I'm going to give it another go after I finish all the novels I own.

I agree with you JRM(or Germ as in "ladies and goims" Oh, never mind)I wasn't smitten by Insomniawhen it was first released either, but I've re-read it a few times now, and kinda like a beneficent fungus, it grows on you(pun most certainly intended). There is a LOT going on in this book, and it takes a few times to get comfortable with the rhythms...

Completely enjoyed Insomnia on the first read, and will admit, after the second read I found so many clues I'd missed. Say True, GNTLNT, it does grow on you.

    Hi,

Indeed, I know what you mean.

Have you read the Dark Tower yet?

    Long days and pleasant nights

That would be Insomnia (the thread title is the clue). Did I just hear a doh? If so, don't feel badly, as I had to look up to figure it out myself.

Have to say, I hugely love Insomnia. Cried buckets at the end. But Steve seems to do that to me, he breaks through my emotional defences - the swine!
