Hi Everyone, Candice here again looking to quiz the people in the know on Misery,
My thesis has led me to question numerous academics claims that Misery is King's dabblings with his fears and desires toward women. I was wondering if anyone had encountered HIS take on the novel in any interviews or academic writings.
Ms. Mod, I'm especially looking for your help here!
Thank you kindly,
Candice, Australia.

Sorry, I would have to do a little research for any sources for interviews and that's not something I could do anytime soon. I can tell you from personal experience, though, that over the last 24 years I've never seen any evidence to support their theory that Steve has any fears about women. From what he has said about his mother and knowing his wife, Tabby, it's my experience that he admires strong, intelligent women who have no problem speaking their mind. Misery was much more about his feelings at the time about being in the public spotlight and fans (not all of them, but the ones who cross the line from fan to fanatic).
