Mine's been laying on my "To be read " table beside the over-stuffed Giant "recliner of reading and sleep" for about a month-still shrinky dink-wrapped and everythin'-maybe the word count grew!

Well . . . it seems to me that there are at least two kinds of people in the world: Those who are interested in the "having" of things, and those who are interested in reading the stories. For collectors, I would imagine virtually any price would seem fair if whatever it was couldn't be gotten anywhere else (and you may well believe Mr. King and his marketing machine know this very well).

For the rest of us, there's this wonderful place called "the library" . . .

But there are those among us who fit BOTH categories. I really enjoy reading the stories and am also a collector. I would not have become a collector of King's works had I not also enjoyed his works.

    Okay.

    I'll play.

If you're a collector, wouldn't you want both editions anyway?

I'm still not seeing how anybody got "ripped off."

I actually own six different editions of Blockade Billy:

Cemetary Dance first edition/first printing with BB baseball card
    Cemetary Dance first edition/second printing
    Cemetary Dance white cover proof
    Cemetary Dance Advance Reading Copy
    Scribner first printing
Hodder & Stoughton UK first printing

And I also have one of the 350-copy signed/limited editions on order from Cemetary Dance.

I don't feel ripped off by any definition.

Thanks for the heads-up on this one.
I'm anxiously waiting patiently for Full Dark myself.
Hopefully this one will be the real deal.
