Read my first one, "Survivor". Has anyone else delved into her books? What do you think of them?

I read "Caretakers" and "Small World" many years ago, I enjoyed them both. I don't know if any of these are still in print.
I read her first novel "Small World"-it was so-so IMO. To be honest though, it's probably because I kept expecting some lurching corpse type thingy to come around...and that's not her cup of tea, that's the guy she shacks up withI read it twice, but it's just not my thing and I never read any more
I read The Trap aka Wolves at the Door some years ago and really enjoyed it-I thought it was gripping and well written. I'd certainly have read more if her books weren't so hard to get hold of (at least here in the UK).
Hi,
I read 'Small World' too and remember enjoying it, but I lent it to someone who never returned it (boo) and I read 'Candles Burning' (with Michael McDowell) and didn't enjoy that as much.
I would certainly like to read more.
Long days and pleasant nights
I read Small World many many years ago. I don't remember it all that well but I remember I liked it, and I remember thinking Tabitha's psycho characters could scare Stephen's psycho characters lol. Also, Tabitha has a better sense of... I don't know how to say this... but I think she would have written that scene in IT, where the losers club restores their bond, a bit differently lol.
Tabitha is definitely way different than the guy she shacks up with <grin>, or, for that matter, her son, Joe Hill. I'm not sure if I would read another of her books. Not to say she's not worthy(!), just that I wasn't drawn back to the book like I am with other novels I read; it was almost a chore --or, as I feel with any book I've started --- an obligation to finish it. Good for her, though, she is her own person/writer, but unfortunately (in a way), she'll always be compared to her husband. Guess I'm with GNTLGNT, she's just not my cup of tea and believe me I read many different authors and many different genres. Now, son, Joe, well, that apple did not fall far from the SK tree. He writes so much like his Dad, it's amazing. Loved both books of his that I read, Heartshaped Box and 20th Century Ghosts. And sheesh, look at his book jacket pictures ... is he a spittin' image of his Dad or what?
trap and candles burning, enjoyed them both...w/candles burning, imagine huck finn in pigtails, thought it was a great story.
