Got my copy Saturday, its much smaller than I was expecting but a very nice looking book. Read it the same day, very good story. Excellent job again Mr King![]()
In honor of baseball stories:
If you write it, they will come.
I quickly opened my copy of Blockade Billy, read it yesterday, and then wrote a 1,500 word review of it for the may issue of Horror World. For me, this was definitely worth the money I paid. A great read!!!
Really enjoyed this book, and the baseball card is a fun bonus. Loved the pic of Stephen in the New Jersey Titans uniform.
I'm still waiting for my copy! Why the heck did I go with the cheap shipping option??
I was wrong. Horror World told me they have a verbal agreement with Richard C. not to review any Cemetery Dance Publications because it would be a conflict of interest. It seems Nanci K., the owner and head of Horror World, does work for Cemetery Dance. Oh, well. Anyway, df_underground:the dark portal is going to try and get the review up today or tomorrow. All the people there now want to read Blockade Billy, but they aren't getting my copy. I have it wrapped up again and hidden for safe keeping. A short review of the book is now up on Amazon. It will help to balance out some of the critics complaining about the cost of the Kindle edition, etc. Now, I have to save up my money for the Scribner edition.
Oops! DF_underground: the dark portal just posted the review of Blockade Billy on their website. There's a link to it on Facebook. This review can be considered a love letter to my hero, and, no, I'm not gay; nor am I sending him any roses. He has to buy his own flowers. Well, df_underground isn't the New York Times, but it's a website filled with people who love horror fiction. That's the important thing!
