Do i have to read the Talisman first?

Hi everyone i recently bought Black House from a charity shop, got home looked it up and i understand it is linked to the Talisman, which i dont own, so do i have to read that one first, or can i just go ahead and read Black House?

They are indeed linked, but there's no need to read The Talisman first although it's certainly preferable IMO

Black House can seem a bit hard to get into at first but it'll soon take off, and I guarantee that you'll want to read The Talisman immediately.

Have you read DT?

Hi there thanks for that info, erm i have read the first 3 of the DT and tried to read wizard and glass but just couldnt get into it so i put it to one side, i have the whole series but seem to struggle with most of them, i absolutely loved the gunslinger and thought the drawing of three was ok and then i struggled with the waste lands and actually gave up with that one too but went back to and did finish it. But wizard and glass i just couldnt do it.
I have had a short break from King after my fail of wizard and glass and have read two books and then saw Black House today and was interested in it so i bought it and will probably read it after i finish the one im reading atm.

In my opinion Talisman should be read first just because of sequence and certain things referenced but I guess there isnt a concrete reason not to read Black House first. Wow you had a hard time getting through Wizard and Glass huh? Sometimes the series can be alot to take in but Im sure you'll be back with the tet soon enough. The Ka of reading a multi book story compells it.

I bet you won't get tired of the Talisman if you pick it up.

Some folks say Black House was hard to get into, nobody says that about the Talisman. I liked them both a good bit, but the Talisman was a cut above. Epic like the Stand and It.

I did the exact same thing read black house first and u find there is alot of history missing and alot of weird things happening as you go through! I am leaving it a while b4 i reach for the talisman so i forget the blackhouse so i can be refreshed! I havent ventured onto the DT series yet!!!! many hours of great reading ahead! Think i will save it for 6 weeks holidays when i can really get stuck into them !!!!!!

I havent ventured onto the DT series yet!!!! many hours of great reading ahead! Think i will save it for 6 weeks holidays when i can really get stuck into them !!!!!!
