My goodness, could there have been a more cliche King way to introduce oneself? I think not, and in that I take pride.
Hello gang, from a long time Brit Stephen King fan, that has reached an age where he hesitates to admit it.
Now I've been reading posts before deciding if I should delve head first into the cyber stew that forums are, but unlike many ( and by many I mean MANY) you bunch seem warm, intelligent people with a true fetish for King. (So we share 1 quality. The fetish for King of course.)
The first King book I read was also the first thing I stole at about 8 years old, after I saw one of my teachers reading it during break, and when I asked her about it, she quickly put it away. Now if that's not the perfect advertisement for a child, I don't know what is.
It.
I won't go on and on like a broken record about IT (at least not here and not yet) but let me just say, Mr. King got to me. (I love understatements), and I remember thinking "what a genius idea to make a clown monster!" instead of "I hate all clowns from this day forth."
I've read all his novels since, and re-read many of them. I've even got my hands on some first editions (trying to make a collection) which I've livingly placed in my King case - in the study room. Now where else in the world could I say that and not be stared at for 5 seconds.
Great. I'm rambling in my introduction post.
Well... Hello people, and I look forward to getting to know you guys a little better and wax philosophical or not so philosophical on all things King. (And other stuff too.)

Mostly I love what books do to my insides but the look and feel of a particularly special tome can and does make me a tad giddy! My Stephen King case is currently a double shelf (bending under the weight) but like you say, all lovingly placed. Hope you have fun on the board-sure you'll like it here.
