Anybody read the Dt stuff by Robin firth and other authors? They worth checkin out?

Apart from Robin Furth's invaluable Concordance, check out Bev Vincent's excellent The Road to the Dark Tower.

Can I ask if you need to read these books as well as reading the DT series? I've only just started The Gunslinger so would it benefit me to read these too? Thank you.

Well you have a long journey ahead of you. I dont think they are a must for the series, I havent read them yet so not completely sure. I think SK work stands up by itself just fine, but I guess Ill see if they add anything for me.

No!

Do NOT read these books until you've finished the very last line of DT7 IMO.

Robin learned well at the knee of the King-the bespectacled one, not Crimson. Her writing is more than competent-it's downright damn fine and Bev is no slouch either...
