Curious if anyone has a copy of this oversized gift edition that was published in 1996. It comes in a very nice matching slipcase. I noticed a small piece of paper between pages 96 and 97... I also found this from Grant Publishing's website:
DESPERATION ERATTA SHEET We have discoverd that two lines and the end of a line were dropped out from between pages 96 and 97 of all copies of DESPERATION. Missing is: cop was talking about. 'Lips which lie are best kept silent,' the cop said, tossing the hat that wasn't his over into the passenger seat. It landed on a tan- An Eratta Sheet was made up which is being included with all books. We have sent them to all customers who were initially sent copies without it.
I have never heard of an "Errata Sheet"... Would anyone comment on what this means for the value of the book itself? I did notice that it is still available from the publisher, even years after it was released. This is very rare for special editions of Stephen King books. Any thoughts?
