    Default Ebooks or Real Books?

So do y'all prefer ebooks or a physical book? I personally like the physical book, the smell the feel and all that jazz.
But, sadly I do think there will be a time when ebooks are the only books or the price of a new physical book will resemble the price of a University text book.
So I am curious what do y'all like better?

Both. In fact, I love both. I'm currently reading Pratchett's Guards! Guards! on my Kindle and McCammon's Boys Life in paperback. Makes no difference to me.

Easiest poll on here - REAL/physical books. I own over 200 real books and no eBooks.

The first thing I do when I buy a book is open it up to any random page and take in a deep breath with my nose buried in the pages. You can't sniff a computer file.

C'mon-Kindle and all that rot would be swallowed up on the shelves of my bookcase...I are a knuckle dragging caveman when it comes to new technology and books. It's great if you embrace it, but I won't touch it with parts of YOUR anatomyI just love being able to flip thru actual pages-rather than e-pages. Guess I've got an ink "jones"...

I also love both but I especially love my e-reader because I can download loads of books onto it and store them onto my e-book library to save and download later. It works out much cheaper too because I know of a few websites that you can buy whole collections of e-books for a fraction of the cost of normal books. Before I bought my e-reader I was unsure if I'd like it or not but as soon as I'd worked out how to use it (not too difficult even for me!) I really loved it and am so pleased I treated myself to an early birthday present!

SueC - I was beginning to think I was the only one around here that really liked e-readers (mine is a Kindle). I've gone to the free sites where you can get public domain books as well. I'm an avid reader but the Kindle has got me to read more than I otherwise would have.

    Hi,

Is it possible to download to the Kindle from Project Gutnenberg, who's avowed intention is to have EVERY public domain book available for FREE download, that would be a real deal-maker for me?

Thankee, the thought of having access to over 30,000 FREE books is certainly mouthwatering!
