Anyone else a fan of Slobberbone? I like the band and was thrilled to see them make it into the book, however, it made it sound like they are a real hardcore punk band. Henry talks about the buzzsaw guitar, etc.
I always found them to be on the country side of rock-n-roll. Thoughts?

Ah, old Henry-he equals ultra cool!! But, I must confess SW that in my secondary career as a DJ and Radio Announcer for 31 years-I hadn't heard of them before reading the book. So, I checked out some samples. "Engine Joe" and "Bright Eyes Darkened" aren't bad-but I enjoyed "Sweetness, That's Your Cue" and "Stumblin'" really well. I concur that they are on the C&W side of Rock-with more than a dollop of punk/new age /grunge blended in. Just for fun and a few laughs, do me a favor and check out the band "Hayseed Dixie".
