The two that come to mind quickest are from Dreamcatcher in the bathroom, and The Regulators when Tak blows up that chicks head at the end.

Good question. There are so many that are gruesome that I don't think I can narrow it down to one or two. I like your picks. Sources of other "inspiring" deaths come to mind with Cell, It, and Cujo. Too many to pick.
I forgot about the from Dreamcatcher. That'd be unpleasant.
The one that's stuck with me most is the first death in "IT." I saw the yellow and red making orange on clean bone and the crimson gushed rainwater swirling away from the paled child, and I heard the croaked gurgling.

I'll say IT too, but the victim is not a person, and it's not killed by Pennywise. It's that little dog Patrick Hocksetter traps in the fridge in the dump, and comes to check on it every day as it slowly wastes away. That disturbed me the most.
Yeah, that was intensly disturbing for me. I can almost deal with human/human cruelty, but human/animal cruelty sends me reeling. That is one of the things that I like most about SK books is that there is almost always some explination for death...I cant say what Im thinking, for example...Kuntz books always have some random crazy killer that is just killing for the sheer fun of it...something that "could really happen". But in SKs books, its things that arent generally (hopefully) going to happen. And thats what makes his books easier for me to read.
I'd have to go with Adrian Mellon's death on It, or - and this may seem a bit weird to you all, the dog's death at the beginning of The Dead Zone left me in tears. Oh, and of course -how can I forget Barlow's assistant on 'Salem's Lot. Being bled to death is an gruesome way to go.
The fate of anyone in "The Mangler". Nothing like having that sharp crease in your forehead and a freshly pressed femur!![]()
