Hi,
If anyone wondered where he got his name, Little Walter was the harmonica player in the greatest incarnation of Muddy Waters blues band along with Otis Spann (piano) and Willie Dixon (bass) and also had several hits in his own right, such as 'Juke' and 'My Babe'.
Little Walter
Long days and pleasant nights
Ah, John-you're a kindred spirit! I just took my Muddy Waters Greatest Hits collection out of the Jeep before I wore it out in the CD player. Where I work(state prison), at pill call time-we've labeled it the "Thorazine 500"-coz man they do like dem crazy drugs...Little Walter would fit right in![]()
It kind of bothered me that the other baby... can't remember the name right now.... didn't make it. Getting crushed, uggg... what a way to go.
Poor kid...Im speculating that he will need generous amount of special services...OT/PT/Speech therapies...and what about the future of the other folks who did walk away? Lung cancer, emphysema, yup! always lookin on the bright side I am!
I was cheering for him. Being a constant reader I know better than to get attached to Mr. King's characters. Especially not the innocent ones like children, pretty girls and pets...But yes, the two I was most happy to survive the horror were Little Walter and the "Cow Kid".
Dances honey, Thorazine is in the anti emetic/anti-psychotic class. It's used to treat acute and chronic psychoses, particularly when accompanied by increased psycho motor activity. It can also aid with nausea/vomiting and intractable hiccups. See folks, I didn't sleep all the way thru my pharmacy course in Nursing school!![]()
I just kept thinking that with everything that Sammy went through, Walter had to make it. I'm so glad he did.
