Oy is a personal favourite character of mine. I always view him as a black Airedale Terrier type dog. Don't know why. He is at times so sweet, and funny, and his affection and loyalty to Jake is endearing... and Jake's loyalty ofcourse to Oy.

My name is Alp.. In Turkish translated book (the waste lands) when Roland and Oy go together for recover Jake, in Lud, they are a dialog very important for me.. When Roland asks to Oy which road they must choise etc, Oy says "Ake! Alp! Oy!" ?????? Is it true? In English book too, does Oy say 'Alp'???? Somebody can help me for this? Thank you...
My Jack Russell regularly says "Oy, mate. How's it lookin' for summat bacon? In ma belly, aye...that's where it belongs, true that?"

Having had 3 special dogs, one left to stand wlth me, Oy is one of my mostest favoritest characters in all of Uncle Stevie's books. He is so loyal and loved Jake so much. When There will never be another one like him. 'Scuse me while I go find my Jack Russell. I need a hug...
I loved that part when Oy had to carry Jake through the jungle. Sai king has such an intuitive way of describing things from an animals pov.
