Default The Mist in Black in White

I have the mist on blu-ray and it came with 2 discs. One is the Mist in color with some pretty good special features, but the second disc is the mist in black in white. It is like watching a whole nother movie. I like it 10 times better in black n white. Has anyone else seen this version, and if you have what version do you like better.

I've seen the b&w version, and I agree: it's much better, damned if I know why
As far as I know, Darabont initially wanted to make the theatrical release in b&w, but the studio balked at that, so he included it as a bonus feature on BD.

I believe that it is such an underrated movie and it is so well shot!

cannot wait to get it on Blu ray disk to watch it in B+W!

I tried to give it a chance, because Frank Darabont did an excellent job of selling me on the idea in his intro, but I just didn't like it as much. Color all the way.

I've not seen the video, but as B&W relates to photography-I find it adds dimension to some pictures, same opinion of sepia toned-but those yucky arachnid like critters in the movie would still be yucky-no matter what color they were...

I'll have to investigate that. A long time ago I saw Amelie for the first time, but accidentally in B&W because I unknowingly sat on the remote. Especially some of the more artificial graphic effects looked downright unbelievable. B&W just.. does something unexpected to the imagination.

I have the BW version of The Mist and just watched it in October, I loved it! Especially the very dark scenes at the beginning during the storm, and when the bugs started hitting the windows at night, and in the pharmacy!

    Cool!
I wrote here a while back, that The Mist kinda reminded me of an old 50's monster flick (but with better dialogue).
If it had been, they might have had theater goers walk into the misted up lobby, with a fog blasting out the doors.
