Isn't that kinda like watching "The Wizard of Oz" or "To Kill a Mockingbird" on Blu-Ray?
They didn't record with Hi-Def capabilities back then, so watching it isn't all superswag?
I'm just asking. I don't know.
Watching anything on blu ray is way better than dvd. The wizard of Oz is especially supposed to look amazing with crystal clear images and fantastic sound.
C'mon guys, rabid St. Bernard slobber is pretty much the same whether it's 35mm or HD!CUJO, FOAM HOME!
You wouldnt believe how much better movies look on blu ray. I have wizard of oz on blu ray also and it absolutely does look alot better. The best movie I have seen so far on blu-ray is Top Gun.
I'm just wondering about ethics in motion picture industry marketing practices. I know very little about DVD v. Blu-Ray technology. I only know about the Blu-Ray v. High-Def DVD because it reminded me of that ancient VHS v. Betamax battle.
My PS3 has adequate Blu-Ray capability, but I've never owned a HDTV.
The whole thing reminds me of Disney and George Lucas. Re-releasing something every few years to comport with new tech when it's essentially the same thing in a new package.
Caveat emptor, I guess. Most emptors are empty in the head.

I just rented Cujo on blu-ray from Netflix and it really looks good considering how awful it looked on the first dvd version. The old dvd version was horrible and washed out looking. The blu-ray looks 100 times better and it's not cropped. I don't think the film has been taken care of very well because there are a few places in the film that look a little rough. There is a scene where Joe Cambers and his wife are discussing her trip, and it looks like some of the dialouge is dubbed in because it doesn't match her mouth. There is a nice "making of" documentary on the disc and apparently SK wrote the original draft and other writers did the actual screenplay.
I haven't seen it on blu-ray can I ask where you purchased it? Thanks
