Unhappy the Saddest SK book or Movie (possible spoilers)

What is the saddest SK book or movie you've ever seen or read? The saddest one for me is the Green Mile. It was so moving. When I saw the movie I started crying during the scene when Paul said, "On the day of my judgement, what am I supposed to say when God asks me why I killed one of his true miracals? That is was my job?"

I started crying, and didn't even realize that I was. And in the book, I cried too. I have never, ever cried from reading. It was during the part when Paul's wife was dying in his arms and he yelled out to Coffey to heal her. "You healed Hal's wife! Why not my Jan?". I lost it. It was so sad.

Anyway, so which SK books or movies did you think was the saddest or most moving?

    Hiu,

    Lisey's Story for me.

I was reading it for the first time on a bus when I broke down in tears and missed my stop completely.

Oh, and Bag of Bones, andandandand..... lot's of them, I guess.

    Long days and pleasant nights

Saddest? Can't really pick one, so many had parts that were sad...Green Mile, Lisey's Story, Cujo, several Dark Tower books, The Stand, The Talisman, The Dead Zone...I'm an easy crier, too, though...

Cujo saddened me...not only the plight of the family, but the death of a good dog. He was blameless as far as catching rabies, the bat is the real villain here! Ding-blasted flying mouse anyway!

Along with the Green Mile, Dead Zone saddened me greately, but I'm not able to cry while reading books any more. Last time I did that I was 12 and it happened while I was reading Winnetou by Karl May (the passage where Winnetou passed away, obviously).

I never finished Cujo because I could not stand a story about a 'bad' dog. Poor thing was following his instincts and evil bites and infects him with a disease that affects his brain! NOt for me, nosiree.

Bag of Bones first, Lisey's Story next and the saddest and longest cry came with the passing of OY in the Dark Tower.

Probably Hearts in Atlantis for me. Most of the main characters don't die, but none of them really get what they want most in life, either.

I would say Wizard and Glass, the back story. Green Mile up there too.

Though I can't say "sad" as such, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon was a very emotional story.
