If you could, would you want to see your own death?

Nope, definitely not. I wouldn't want to know what to expect, and wonder when it was going to happen. Imagine if it was horrifying, how would you cope and lead an ordinary life?
Death has been on my mind a lot the last few days as I've had four of my patients die in the space of a week. I have been dealing with death for 12 years now, my first patient died when I was only 17 and I still remember his name, what he looked like and how/where it happened. All the others--many--since then have blended into each other but as I'm getting older I find it affects me more. Death is final. I do believe in an afterlife but the life here is over, and many people are left behind and hurt by the death of a loved one. That fact alone is enough to make me not want to know. If my death was painful or distressing I would worry how it would affect others. There's too many negative consequences that knowing could create. I want to die in my sleep, peacefully, without any prior illness. And if I do develop a serious illness I will still die in my sleep peacefully, as I will end my own life. That is something I have no doubts about.
Once again I am rambling, sorry. But the answer is no, I most definitely would not want to know.
I`ve seen it already.
I was clinically dead for a few minutes.
Can`t remember anything though, no light, no tunnel, no nothing.
Just the enormous pain when they brought me back...
Oh my word how liberating that would be..
..
..Oh my word what a bad idea that would be
!
(hmm, but to be given a magical choice, I'd have to flip a coin...the possibility for so much high quality hilarity to ensue, would be waaayy too great to just say no)
I already have. No idea when but the circumstances I saw in a vision.
It doesn't matter if I want to see it or not....If it chooses to reveal itself to me, I have no choice
I haven't seen my own death, but I did see my brother's in vivid detail... car wreck, location, what he was wearing, etc.... two months before he died
I not only don't want to see my own death I don't want the ability to see anyones death!
Nope. I would prefer to think I'm never going to die......
If things go well, mine will be messy and painful for all involved, so yeah, I'd like to see if it works as well in practice, as it does in theory.
Patrick Henry said it best, "We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth... For my part, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst; and to provide for it."
