Please Help Me! Desperate search for a particular King book

Hi everyone,

My name is Candice, I'm an honours student from Australia doing my thesis on a comparison between King's Misery and John Fowles The Collector. I've recently discovered (to my outlandish joy) that in Stephen King's Secret Windows: Essays and Fiction on the Craft of Writing, King has actually written a chapter called "A New Introduction to John Fowles's The Collector".

The book is not to be mistaken with "Secret Window" (the short story in four past midnight) or "On Writing, a memoir of the craft" both of which I own. It's a rare collection of essays by King that is now out of print.

The big problem is- There's NO WAY I can access this book in Australia. Checked every possible means of doing so.

So I'm on my last resort here- I'm begging anyone who might own a copy of this book to scan the relevant pages and email them to me. If you could do this, I'd be your lifelong best friend.

So very, very desperate here. I am in week 3 of the term and the deadlines are fast approaching.

Please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME!

I'll go to some used books stores tomorrow and see if they have this book, as I haven't read it yet and now I'm curious. I'll let you know if I find it.

This was also published as a separate chapbook, back in 1989 I think. I have a copy somewhere around here--I'll see if I can find it and scan the pages for you. I don't have the original book, though, so there MAY be differences between the two.

I did some more research on this 12-page booklet. It was originally offered to the people who bought The Collector from the Book of the Month Club in 1989. It may be the same one as the one in Secret Windows.

I finally managed to get a copy! John (Jchanic) scanned a copy and sent it to me, just in time. Thank you all so much for your kind messages and offers for help. I've been inundated with people who own the book (Seems you can get it everywhere BUT here!) hahaha.

Happy to share my thesis on the site when I finally get it completed at the end of this year.
